About Us
Allied started in 1959 repairing and restoring band instruments. Doing the work led to a simple question that still drives us today: Is there a better way to do this?
Sometimes that means finding a better tool. Sometimes it means improving one, having a part made that is no longer available, or keeping enough inventory on the shelf so a repair technician isn't waiting for something needed to finish a job.
A lot of those solutions have come directly from the people at the bench.
Allied's Pledge: Allied will not list for sale any tool or supply item we do not believe in wholeheartedly.
That pledge appeared in one of our earliest catalogs. We still mean it.
We listen when repair technicians tell us something doesn't work, could work better, is getting hard to find, or simply doesn't exist anymore. We work with manufacturers, make some things ourselves, and look for alternatives when important products disappear.
Not every idea works. The good ones often start with somebody saying, You know what I really need?
We want to hear those.
And we stand behind what we sell. We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If something you order isn't right for you, return it in saleable condition within 30 days for full credit.
In 1967, our first catalog said there was a need for *a central parts source.*
Nearly 60 years later, that's still a pretty good description of what we're trying to be.
Repair technicians shouldn't have to spend half their day hunting for parts and supplies.
Our job is to make that easier: stock the things you use, find the things that are hard to find, help identify what you need, and keep looking for better solutions.
Our first Allied catalog turns 60 soon, but we've been at this a little longer than that. For more than 65 years, we've worked with repair technicians to solve problems and find better ways to get the job done.
We are still listening, and we are still moving forward.
Allied's work stems from the Getzen family's long history in band instrument manufacturing and repair. You can learn more about our history and meet the people behind Allied.
